CONSIDER THE LITTLE ONES ---- LET THEM BE FREE TO BE CHILDREN

WHO WILL STAND FOR THE DEFENSELESS ?

Open Arms World Outreach is dedicated to identifying and proactively aiding ‘at risk’ children who have been victims of human trafficking and other devastating abuses. We will intervene and provide a safe, secure refuge for those who need it in a compassionate, supportive environment. Specialized counseling from trained staff members will support these children in recovering from the traumas they have been forced to endure. The key to building a sustainable future for them will be to provide an excellent education and all the opportunities that it will offer. Living on-site at a closed campus private school they will have good nutritious food to eat, medical care, clothing and all of their basic needs. All students will be trained and encouraged to make a positive impact on their world and become leaders and productive members of their society.

What normal caring person would not find great joy in knowing that abused little children can be rescued, that they can become happy and live their lives in peace. There are horrific dark forces in the world that can devour their lives and plunge them into utter and complete misery. Every night all over the world an untold multitude of little children cry themselves to sleep for many reasons. Some are frightened, sad, hungry or even homeless with no one to care for them. But there are some who do not cry any more, they don't dare. They have been terrorized until they will stop. They are literally slaves to those who imprison them far from home. These innocent little children are kept captive in brothels where they are beaten brutally, forced to work very hard and then are sold to be sexually abused any time of night or day. Most are 6 - 14 years old, but some are only 3, they are still babies . In Thailand for example, you can buy one of these little ones to abuse any way you want to for $5 (there is however an extra charge if they die as a result of the perverted fun and games). Some were kidnapped and brought from far away by their captors and they do not know their way home. Some were homeless and have been lured by the promise of money and food. Even worse are those who have been insidiously betrayed and sold into slavery by their own family. In Asia many fathers, the very ones who are given the charge to defend and protect them from all harm, sometimes sell their little children. It is a common practice. How can this happen? What can we do to help them? ..................................

WHO WILL STAND WITH US FOR THEM ?

We will be sponsoring several all-day conferences and fund raisers to be held in the Portland, Oregon area this summer. Time is of the essence, the cost of delay is unacceptable. The dates and itineraries will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed. Leaders of the rescue organizations involved will be speaking and giving video and photographic presentions of the miserable conditions that these defenseless little children must endure. Our goal is to create awareness of this terrible situation and to raise funds for the rescue of these precious little ones. The first phase of our assault on this form of human trafficking is to buy their freedom from their owners. Then we will take them to a safe Christian refuge far from their slavery and captivity to live their lives in peace as little children. Some can be reunited with lost families, but most can not and we will have to provide for these a new home with loving protective people to guide, teach and care for them. It will not be easy, but this will be so worth it. We are looking for any one who has a burden for these little ones and if God lays it on your heart, we welcome your help. Please contact us through this forum and we will respond as quickly as possible. More information on these events will be posted as it is available.

Kids are Supposed to be Happy

What is wrong with showing some happy kids now? After all, this is what our efforts are all about anyway. It is all too easy to become so focused on the misery and hopelessness of the millions of little children 'at risk', we can forget that there are successes too. We ask that you help us to bring more successes into a cruel world and let's train as many 'at risk' kids as we can to go out and save their world. All they need are the right tools and some quality time to finish growing up the way God intended, as children.

These pictures are from rescue shelters across southeast Asia.

Our Mission

By the power and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are commissioned to go unto all the world to protect, defend and deliver the hurting and suffering victims of cruel abuses, to comfort the desperate and downtrodden, to heal the sick and afflicted, to bring hope to the victims of life threatening addictions, to encourage those who are imprisoned, to proclaim the truth and bring the light of salvation into the dark places of the world, and TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE in the name of YESHUA, our Savior.

Will you join us in our quest to bring them out of darkness and give them the tools they need to change their world into a better place?

MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU

The Next Steps: Moving Forward

Isaiah 61:1  "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, ..........."

This is a powerful prophetic statement about the Messiah and what He would come to do. In fact this is the very scripture that Jesus read in his home town synagogue when he began his ministry and has been used to commission many ministries in His name ever since. We will rely on this fundamental principle to guide Open Arms World Outreach to help us  see with clarity and act with wisedom to fulfill God's purpose. To everything there is a beginning, and in the Kingdom of God on earth, all things start with prayer. On Sunday June 6, Open Arms World Outreach (OAWO) was given the hospitality of the Spirit of Prophesy Church in Portland. I was invited to share the vision and goals for the outreach and then gather into prayer all who attended. Following a discussion of related issues, the church body then began praying in agreement with millions of other Christians all over the world, joining in with the World Weekend of Prayer event. The focus of this annual event is to pray on behalf of the millions of at risk and fatherless children everywhere. I know for a fact that the foundations of the world tremble when those who are called by His name come together in this way, seeking the face of God on behalf of the little ones He holds so precious to Himself.

I don’t believe it was a coincidence that our sister Rev. Mullita Romeo just happened to hear from God to turn around from where she was going and come to SOP Church. She didn't even know what we were doing until she arrived. She also just happened to bring with her a picture board covered with pictures of the children and staff of the orphanage she supports in Thailand. It was great to have her share her pictures and we were glad to have her tell us a little bit about the orphanage and conditions in Thailand. This was nice because the video we were going to watch suddenly would not play. I guess we were given a real-life testimony instead. From the start, OAWO has been comitted to helping her support this orphanage as one of our first tangible actions. This time of sharing and prayer was an uplifting blessing to me and I hope to all those involved, and I encourage anyone who was present to comment below.

But now, it is time to keep moving with ‘all speed ahead’. The next step is to finalize the dates for our campus awareness conferrences this summer, and all the related arrangements. We are also in the process of developing  the gusdelines and core principles of the school curriculum and applying for grant funding. Then it's off to Thailand in October for 3 weeks. We will really have to race to make all the necessary personal contacts with church, government and business leaders that are needed to move on with the project. We also will be looking at land for the school, and currently have two properties of interest that would be ideal. Shown are a couple pictures from one of these properties. It is a 35 acre operating farm/ranch found only 10 minutes from Chiang Mai, the second largest city in Thailand. This place is currently staffed by hired hands, and it would generate income and provide food for the school. The property already has two large houses and a bunkhouse for the farm workers, who we would keep on to run the farm. Very convenient! Just 20 minutes down the road, Chiang Mai University with nearly 30,000 students is one of the premiere engineering/technical schools in Asia. Last but not least, we would get a chance to visit the orphanage that sister Mullita Romeo supports and deliver a gift to them. We will also seek out medical care facilities and other children's shelters that we may be able to network with.
